Green business News

Stay up to date with what is going on on the sales side and reed about the so called 'green business' where OpCo's are working together to help our clients in their digital transformation.

Belastingdienst

Luminis has been delivering their Accelerate Leadership and Craftmanship programs for some years now and the Dutch fiscal authorities ("Belastingdienst") have been a loyal participant from the start. Via that relationship, we were informed about a serious challenge which the belastingdienst has regarding training and development of their architects.  Luminis and XPLUS, together with 2 other partners How company and LeBlanc, have pitched for a training program for all their Architects. This opportunity consists of 3 parts:

  1. Training the coaches, who will guide and coach their architects when they participtate in their training program
  2. The pilot program to train a group of selected architects
  3. The large program to traini the remainder of their architects

The order for #1 has been signed, invoiced and we're starting 🙂. Nice green business. Next step will be to score the pilot training program itself for the architects (expected Q3), which should bring us in an excellent position to score the big fish #3 (TCV of >3Mln). Thanks to Bert Ertman, Bart van Passel, Rene van Kleef and others who are involved!

Transdev

Inducement

Transdev, a large public transport organization in the Netherlands is since more than 15 years customer of BPSOLTIONS. Transdev asked BPSOLUTIONS for support to solve some challenges in their application domain. BPSOLUTIONS and Luminis jointly pitched to solve this challenge.

The "Operations" application domain consists of quite a bit of legacy, and there are systems and applications that are difficult or impossible to upgrade. Maintenance is needed on the landscape, but a good overview is lacking. Transdev's request was to create a clear architectural picture that gives good insights into the application landscape. An important aspect of this is the "shadow IT", which is not really visible at the moment and is therefore seen as a risk factor.

Approach

Because it was not possible to estimate in advance which people can provide which information, and because it was essential to reach the right level of detail, an iterative approach was proposed. In joint consultation, it is determined where there was a need to go broader and/or deeper in scanning the application domain. With this approach, the inventory can be stopped as soon as exactly enough information has been retrieved and Transdev. By doing so, Transdev does not run the risk of putting work into uncovering information that Transdev attaches little value to, and Transdev is fully in control of the costs.

Result

The architecture scan is nearing completion. Transdev has indicated that they are very satisfied with the draft result. So much, that in fact Transdev has asked BPSOLUTIONS for a second architecture scan, for the  application domain "Payments". The quotation for this domain has already been submitted to Transdev and is up for approval.
